BLS JOLTS + Job Postings for AI Displacement

Most 'AI is taking jobs' content is anecdotal. The real data: BLS JOLTS for openings/hires/quits trends, plus job posting datasets to track specific skill demand.

This project tracks decay curves for copywriting, translation, paralegal research, and graphic design against growth curves for ML engineering, AI safety, and eval engineering — all since the GPT-4 release in March 2023. The primary deliverable is a skill demand half-life chart with confidence intervals.

Data sources: BLS API (free), BLS OES annual tables (free), Indeed Hiring Lab posting indices (free aggregates).
